My Story
How UriMei came to be
As a lifelong learner, I've always been fascinated by how we acquire and retain knowledge. During my studies in computer science and cognitive psychology, I noticed how inefficient traditional learning methods can be. We all struggle with information overload, forgetting what we learn, and difficulty connecting new concepts to what we already know.
In 2024, while trying to learn a particularly complex subject, I found myself creating detailed notes and visualizing connections between concepts. I thought: "What if AI could help identify these connections and adapt to my personal learning style?"
That question led me to build UriMei—a personal AI learning assistant that started as a tool for myself but has grown into something I believe can help others. The name "UriMei" represents the uncovering of truth through peeling away layers of complexity to reach the essence of knowledge.
This project isn't backed by a company or investors—it's simply my passion project built with the hope of making learning more accessible and efficient for everyone. It's still experimental, with rough edges and evolving features, but I'm excited to share it with a small group of early users who can help shape its development.
